the beauty of a maxi dress is everyone all day says “you’re so fancy!” “you look exceptionally pretty today!” and so on. the secret is it feels like wearing pajamas to work. i win! really isn’t that the goal everyday - to look cute but feel like you’re in bed? maybe i just love bed too much.

this weekend miss josie and i took a little field trip downtown. i get so in the habit of being a westsider and staying in my bubble that every time i venture out i fall in love all over again. the westside is awesome but really, i would ideally have a house on the beach in santa monica, a loft downtown, and an old school apartment in hollywood so i could divide my time and love more generously. a girl can dream, right?

i’m pretty sure these pants give me mom-butt. to combat this, i pair with grampa cardigan and gaudy accessories. basically all that matters is i feel like i’m in my pjs.

well kids, i’m safe and sound back in la. honduras was awesome and i’ll do a recap as soon as i have all of the pictures back. i actually wore this before i left. i bought both of these floral pieces at crossroads not with the intention of wearing them together, but sometimes clothes end up in a heap on the bed and you realize things work that you would have never imagined on your own.

i never really thought i was a floral print kinda person, but about a year or so ago someone commented that my apartment had a lot of floral prints and that i must really like them. turns out my wardrobe choices prove that theory correct time and time again, too.

this sunday, i participated in the native la flea market. i picked up this top and sweater while shopping with miss heather and as i was walking around the store realized they would be awesome together. i also found the bracelet i’m wearing and some neon green socks that didn’t make it into the outfit but are equally as awesome. i may pair them with the top and white shorts when it gets a little warmer. 

in other news, these photos inspired me to start working out because skinny amy is way hotter than not skinny amy. get ready ya’ll, this guy and i are on our way to being the hottest couple evar.

i saw these shoes on a giveaway on a beautiful mess and immediately knew i had to have them. forget entering the giveaway, i couldnt risk it. my feet have never gotten so much attention in their 27 years. i couldnt be happier with my decision and cant wait to wear them with everything!

monday night mister marshall and i went to see the temper trap at the el rey. man i love that album. just like i love my hipster glasses. and my big girl shoes. and my neon cardigan. just sayin. theres a whole lotta love in this outfit.
