i’m still trying to figure out the format i want to do these posts in, so bear with me. this is by no means a comprehensive list, but a general overview of funness.
(just in case you missed january)

i feel like i’ve been a little MIA around these parts lately, but trust me, i’m still here. these are things that were happening while i was away.
{above} pretty nails courtesy of nontra’s collection. thinking i may need this top coat for myself.

not much is sexier than a cute hipster boy with a bike. i cant wait for it to warm up a little so we can ride!

it has been FUH-reezing at work lately. i’m all bundled up with leggings under my jeans, my pig puffy jacket and as many knits as i can pile on. it almost helps.

trips to the comic book store generally prove to be good little photo ops.

trying to keep this in mind while things are kind of crazy.

omg a dog in a basket in the back of a mini car. i died.

i woke up super early this morning, but didn’t really get going until mid-day. sunny sundays call for a walk down to the mar vista farmers market. we ended up not marketing anything, but there was plenty to fill our empty bellies while we browsed. we started off with some fresh squeezed limeade. it is delicious. and the boys working the stand are super nice. i thought one big glass would be enough, but turns out it wasn’t. so when we went back for a second, they gave it to us for cheaper!

next to the limeade stand, they were giving away samples of bbq. a sample of pulled pork later, we were eating a pulled pork sandwich. the potato salad was pretty great too.

as good as the sandwich was, it wasn’t enough split between two, so we went for some empanadas for a second course. i love empanadas and am sad i wasn’t introduced to them sooner in life. little pockets of wonderful, thats what they are.

after a walk back, we headed down to a cute little coffee shop/bakery that i just noticed this morning. i didn’t sample any of the pastries, but they sure are pretty.

with the holidays coming up, my schedule is changing a bit. so tuesday found me and the boy both with the day free. we spent it at the beach, with a blanket and books. it was the perfect fall day in los angeles - blue skies and crisp air. we followed up the lounging with a slice of pizza and a gyro. like i said, perfect.
a couple weeks ago, we had a camera crew in the office filming for a show on usa network called “character approved” where they highlight the work of 12 trailblazers and innovators because well, blake is one of those people. all day long the cameras kept going back and forth in front of my desk and look - there i am! right in the opening credits! haha. (theres another clip later on that i’m in too! ha. i’m a nerd.)
anyways, go watch the show. it was pretty interesting, even if i hadn’t been in it ;)
so, you wanna hear some of the news thats been going on that i havent been able to talk about til now? I GOT HIRED AT TOMS FULL TIME! you cant tell how happy i am because i am so tired, but trust me, i am one giddy girl. i love my job and i am so excited i get to stay.
on a related note, on april 5th, TOMS is hosting the annual One Day Without Shoes to raise awareness for the cause. so click through, read all about it, and go barefoot!
another to-do list.
