i love my job.

miss heather wanted to go to the flea market yesterday morning to get some furniture, so we went along. normally i just head to the melrose flea market because its close and well curated, but the rose bowl flea market is huge and happens only once a month - and probably has better bargains - so thats where we headed.

i really just love old cars. bright and shiny, or broken down and rusted, i don’t judge. but throw in a fancy hood ornament and you better believe i’m all about it.

we came across this beauty on the walk to the farmers market sunday morning. it was love at first sight. i went a little nuts, sorry. but - do you see this?! come on now.
also, this is my first attempt at using katie’s pencil box method of photo editing. i’m in love.

on our way home from the cheese castle, mom and i detoured a bit in the back country roads trying to find some big chickens. (mom has an affection of roadside critters and is trying to document all she can - i’m trying to get her to blog about them. ahem.)
we didn’t find the chickens, but we found freddy bear’s antique mall. they had a pretty great selection and reasonable prices. luckily for me my suitcase was already jam packed, so i saved myself some money. i do kind of regret not getting that set of cups below though, it was only $8 for all of them!

welcome to wisconsin, folks. it. is. cold. if you follow me on twitter, you know i flew home yesterday and it was basically a nightmare. but it is good to be home with my family, despite the frigid temps. this was my airport outfit - i always have grand plans of dressing up for travel, but leggings always seem to win. easy slip on and off shoes are essential for flying, and a scarf for keepin warm on the plane.

i love the flea market. and lately it seems like every time i go it gets better and better.
{below} my finds from this week: an adorable wall hanging, the big sleep by raymond chandler, and hipster glasses of my own so i can give nontra back the ones i’ve had since halloween.

johnnies last night.
stripey bug.
dream bug.

meanwhile, yesterday we found this little gem in an alley.

earlier in the week on our lunchtime walk, no one was dressed for pictures but we happened upon this vintage beetle and i fell in love.
